About the role:
Youll be part of a small but growing R&D team of six people dedicated to our sensor development. Your primary focus will be the development of new sensor chips a role where your ideas and skills will directly influence the future of our technology. This means planning designing and executing experiments related to sensor development and characterization as well as improving existing solutions. Youll get hands-on with manufacturing processes using techniques such as HPLC and other analytical methodologies to evaluate sensor performance. As a Senior R&D Engineer you will also act as a sounding board for your colleagues with your extensive practical and theoretical knowledge. Youll contribute not only to the development of our technology but also to shaping how we work build collaborations and drive our future growth.
What youll do:
Plan design and independently execute experiments for application development and evaluation of sensor chips in various applications while driving scientific direction and development decisions based on previous experience and experimental outcomes.
Generate and critically evaluate high-quality data to support the development of better data models and guide future project decisions.
Contribute with ideas and concepts for sensor chip design and fabrication acting as a scientific sounding board for colleagues through your in-depth technical insight and independent thinking.
Prepare scientific reports protocols and presentations for internal and external stakeholders clearly communicating findings recommendations and next steps.
Perform regular lab maintenance to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Collaborate closely with other team members to successfully integrate sensor chips into our systems.

About you:
PhD or Masters degree in Bioprocess Engineering Biotechnology Organic Chemistry Material Science Nanomaterials or Nanotechnology
5 post graduate years with hands-on lab experience including chemical handling experiments use of standard lab equipment and analytics
Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of bioprocessing including at least 3 years of experience working with both upstream and downstream processes
Knowledge of analytical methods used for bioprocessing
Experience in sensor technology/practical knowledge of bioprocess sensors (electrochemical optical and/or spectroscopic etc.) and their integration into bioprocesses is a plus
Analytical skills and experience in surface characterization and performance evaluation is a plus
Nice to have:
Experience in surface chemistry (for example self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) biorecognition element functionalization on nanomaterials antifouling layers etc) is a plus
Experience with analyzing complex/big data sets is meriting
Knowledge of protein-protein interactions and coupling is a plus
