Job Overview

A reputable and established agricultural enterprise operating on a confidential basis is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager (Agriculture/Dates/Fruits/Farm) to lead their operations in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time senior leadership position responsible for the overall management and commercial success of a large-scale farm specialising in date and fruit cultivation. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a profound understanding of modern agricultural practices strong business acumen and a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence in the farming sector.

Responsibilities

* Provide strategic direction and leadership for all farm operations ensuring alignment with the organisations long-term goals.
* Oversee the entire cultivation lifecycle from planting and irrigation to pest control harvesting and post-harvest management.
* Develop and manage annual budgets control costs and ensure the farms profitability and financial sustainability.
* Lead mentor and manage a diverse team of farm managers agricultural specialists and labourers to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Implement and maintain the highest standards of quality control for all produce particularly dates and fruits to meet market and export standards.
* Ensure all farm activities comply with local national and international agricultural regulations as well as health and safety standards.
* Drive the adoption of innovative farming technologies sustainable practices and modern irrigation techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Manage supply chain logistics inventory and relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Prepare and present regular operational and financial performance reports to senior management or the board of directors.

Qualifications

* A Bachelors degree in Agriculture Agribusiness Horticulture or a related discipline. A Masters degree is highly desirable.
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in a senior management role such as General Manager or Farm Director within a large-scale agricultural operation.
* Specialised expertise in the cultivation of dates and other fruits is essential.
* Strong financial literacy with proven experience in budget management P&L responsibility and financial reporting.
* Exceptional leadership team-building and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the agricultural market and regulatory environment in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make effective decisions.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic would be a significant advantage.
