Mathematics Teaching Role in a Coastal Academy School

A coastal academy school in Middlesbrough is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that is committed to raising attainment supporting student progress and delivering high-quality teaching.

About the Role

You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that cover number algebra geometry statistics and mathematical reasoning.

Students will be prepared for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations through structured teaching targeted intervention and regular assessment.

You will support learners across a range of abilities helping them develop resilience and confidence within a positive classroom environment.

You will work collaboratively within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and student progress.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across KS3 KS4 and KS5

  • Deliver lessons covering core mathematical concepts

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations

  • Assess student work and provide structured feedback

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

  • Support intervention revision and enrichment activities

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
