IT Asset Manager

We are seeking an IT Asset Manager to join our team in Dortmund and support the management of IT hardware assets across the customer environment.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
As an IT Asset Manager you will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets from procurement and allocation through to tracking reporting and disposal.
You will help ensure that IT assets are accurately recorded properly managed and used efficiently across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data processes IT equipment and cross-functional teams.
REPORTING LINE:
This role reports directly to Service Delivery Manager / Country Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the lifecycle of IT hardware assets from procurement to disposal including WEEE compliance.
Maintaining accurate inventory records across CMDB and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or xTicket.
Ensuring asset data is accurate complete and regularly updated.
Monitoring planning and reporting on IT asset usage compliance and performance.
Managing asset-related information including licences warranties service agreements and contracts.
Supporting purchasing and redistribution decisions to improve cost efficiency.
Developing and maintaining IT asset management processes policies and SOPs.
Producing regular and ad-hoc reports for management.
Ensuring compliance with vendor contracts and internal IT governance standards.
Working closely with the Global Service Desk partners and internal teams to improve asset performance and visibility.
Supporting Service Delivery Managers in improving customer satisfaction and service delivery performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB environments
Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow xTicket)
Strong knowledge of IT hardware lifecycle management
Good understanding of ITIL / ITSM processes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written English skills (German is an advantage)
Experience in IT asset governance compliance and cost optimization
