Job Summary
Senior Java Developer $79 $89/hr Austin TX
About the Role
Join a dynamic team as a Senior Java Developer working on the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative. Youll be at the forefront of enhancing and maintaining mission-critical enterprise applications. This contractor position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact through system upgrades interface improvements and advanced reporting all within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement robust software solutions by analyzing business needs and system flows.
- Update business logic user interfaces reporting features and data models for the SCOR Java application.
- Support ongoing application enhancements and resolve defects efficiently in maintenance mode.
- Perform application support across multiple environments including coding testing peer reviews and troubleshooting.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and deliver effective secure solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation code coverage and adhere to testing and security protocols.
- Participate in on-call support rotations as required.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by unit operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 years of professional experience in Java Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
- 8 years of applications development using J2EE
- 8 years of SQL development for relational databases
- 8 years developing RESTful web services with Spring
- 8 years of Spring Aspect Oriented Programming including transaction management and security
- 8 years with JUnit and unit test development
Preferred Skills
- 4 years with Angular UI Framework
- 4 years working with Crystal Reports
- 4 years of PowerBI experience
