Surgical Technologist

We are hiring a Surgical Technologist for one of our clients in Saranac Lake NY.

Job Description:

• 75-mile radius rule
• Will accept locals - local rate will apply
• Must be certified
• 1 year experience required
• Need people with broad experience and especially vascular because they will be taking call and need to scrub for those procedures as well.
• Must have ortho experience
• Operating room surgical technician is an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team.
• The surgical technician acts as a scrub person prepares and handles instruments supplies and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure.
• He/She has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
• He/She works collaboratively with other team members to assure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• The surgical technician functions under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Participates in the on-call schedule for afterhours urgent/ emergent surgical cases unless otherwise indicated.

Work hours:

• Shift: varying shift Mon-Fri 10 hour days
• 40 hours a week

Pay rate:

• Travel: $49/hr (75 miles radius)
• Local: $43/hr (locals)
