About the role

This position plays a critical role in corporate structured financing activities including development and execution of efficient capital and liquidity solutions. This role is responsible for managing corporate funding facilities and hedging addition this role manages company-wide capital injections and repatriation and participates in the oversight of corporate surplus assets.

This role requires the knowledge of complex financing structures and the ability to assess capital and liquidity impact of corporate transactions.

What youll be doing

• Participate in company-wide capital and liquidity optimization initiatives and transactions
• Manage corporate funding facilities and hedging programs
• Manage corporate capital and funding transactions
• Participate in the oversight and management of corporate surplus assets

What youll need to succeed

• Extensive experience (10 years ) with capital and liquidity management and financial analysis ideally in a large public financial Institution with businesses in multiple jurisdictions
• MBA and/or CA CFA or enrolment in the CFA program an asset
• Good understanding of capital markets structured products and securitization designs
• Working knowledge of IFRS financial statements and accounting principles
• Good understanding of key drivers and inter-dependencies of insurance and wealth management businesses
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with capability of developing and implementing complex financial structures and models
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management at all levels of the organization
• Ability to develop initiatives make sound business judgements and identify value adding opportunities
• Good organizational skills and ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
• Requiring advanced business degree and/or accounting designation

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
