We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Flutter on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. As a Senior Financial Accountant you will play a key role in supporting the global lease process and other global processes including but not necessarily limited to the global share-based payments process. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to make a substantial impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What youll do

• Prepare monthly lease reconciliations including lease roll forwards for the Groups lease portfolio.
• Collate lease disclosure support for U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Support any transformation efforts with respect to lease accounting systems.
• Support any transformation efforts with respect to platforms which support the share-based payments process including data validation.
• Support the accounting for share-based payments (such as monthly journal entry postings) as needed.
• Maintain compliance with SOX requirements including assisting in certain tasks to comply with SOX controls as needed.
• Support ad-hoc activities and initiatives as needed.
• Partner with different finance teams across the organisation.

How youll do it

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in industry (preferably a plc / multinational environment) or practice.
• Experience with accounting for leases and share-based payments under U.S. GAAP and / or IFRS is a plus.
• Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and drive adherence to deadlines.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and successfully implement change.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion financial systems would be advantageous.
