Job Summary
CHC is a nonprofit social service agency serving the Akron community. Our mission is to treat inspire support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. Interns become part of a compassionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of those we serve.
We offer both paid and unpaid year-round internship opportunities primarily within our Counseling Department for Bachelors and Masters level students. Interns gain practical experience in areas such as:
Individual and group counseling support
Case management exposure
Documentation and treatment planning
Recovery-oriented care
Professional ethics and compliance standards
Beyond skill-building our internship program is designed to foster professional growth mentorship and career readiness. Many of our interns transition into full-time employment with CHC after graduation a testament to the strength of our training and leadership development.
