    About the Role

    This position is responsible for effectively planning and developing daily work schedules for the E/I maintenance workforce in support of the plant production. This position requires a thorough knowledge of how to use systems to logically prioritize plan and organize work in a safe and efficient manner. Assure work is accomplished in compliance with all Safety Health and Environmental policy. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Planning Lead.

    The successful candidate will be expected to:

    • Safely plan and schedule daily work for the general E/I workforce including preparation of a daily work schedule.
    • Work with Production scheduler for the purpose of planning jobs establishing priorities reviewing work backlogs and generating daily work schedules.
    • Provide liaison with other plant groups to ensure that the collective experiences of all groups are considered and brought together in planning so all group needs are met.
    • Review preventative maintenance procedures on equipment in area of accountability and ensure that they address the equipment requirements including inspections service procedures intervals review and follow-up of the work done and estimate of cost and manpower requirements.
    • Effectively coordinate and plan work assigned requiring maintenance work performed by general E/I workforce including drawings sketches material and equipment requirements request for purchase and equipment requisitions materials normally on-site availability cost estimates field check follow-up and review with respect to planning etc.
    • Follow-up on materials for jobs planned to include the disposition of materials ordered but not used materials on order and spare equipment maintained by the planners for use in their areas of accountability not in stores inventory. This includes interface with Corporate and local purchasing groups and interaction with stores personnel.
    • Accountable for both quantitative and qualitative review and to recommend spare parts for stores inventory as required for equipment in the planners area including both new and existing equipment. Perform periodic reviews of equipment bill of materials to ensure accuracy.
    • Work with Asset Improvement group to prepare documentation and submit request for capital spares acquisition.
    • Perform related duties special projects and functions as assigned.
    • Provide weekend and holiday supervision of all maintenance activity on rotational basis.
    • Maintain a work backlog large enough to ensure that idle manpower does not exist and small enough to ensure that needed work is completed in a timely manner.
    • Be willing to accept training to learn new procedures to replace old methods with new ideas made available through technological advances in order to keep the company competitive in todays market.
    • Inform area mechanical planner of significant spend for forecasting.
    • Work with Repairable Spares Specialist to ensure repairable items are refurbished or replaced with new purchase in an expedient manner.
    • Develop scope and request for quotation for supplemental maintenance work. Coordinate scheduling of work.
    • Consistently demonstrate Tronox Core Values.

    About You

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in electrical and instrumentation (E/I) maintenance repair or E/I planning in a plant environment or an equivalent combination of both. Industrial plant experience strongly preferred.
    • A good understanding of plant maintenance operations.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Competent in the use of computer programs (i.e. SAP S4 Excel Outlook Word etc.).
    • Good human relation skills.
    • Good knowledge of the national electrical code.
    • Master electricians license preferred.
    • Must maintain a valid drivers license.
    • MX or above on most recent performance evaluation is required and no active corrective action.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be clean-shaven in areas where facial hair would interfere with the proper fit and seal of a respirator. This includes no beards sideburns or excessive growth.
    • Occasionally ascending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding ramps etc. and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
    • Occasionally remain stationary for prolonged periods standing and sitting and performing repetitive motions involving hands and wrists.
    • Constantly assessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of work assigned and communicating with others to exchange information.
    • Occasionally working in varied environments that may include extreme weather conditions (hot cold and rainy weather) elevated noisy areas poor ventilation confined and tight spaces.
    • Occasionally lift move and adjust objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Occasionally operate machinery power tools heavy equipment and motor vehicles.
