Job Summary
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality of products and daily supervision of Quality Inspectors. This position works closely with Production and other areas in order to meet and maintain product quality identify solve and prevent problems affecting product quality maximize productivity and is accountable to uphold the quality and standards of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Daily supervision of Quality Inspectors.
- Ensures all product supplied is in accordance with requirements specified on the Following Cards.
- Ensures activities of the Quality Inspectors are carried out in accordance with quality system procedures and work instructions.
- Final inspection in accordance with quality procedures.
- Training and supervision of Quality Inspectors in accordance with quality procedures.
- Identification of casting and process problems so correction can be determined.
- Assist in the development of Finishing Department Following Cards.
- Oversee activities for product containment for suspect product and customer concern notices.
- Performs analysis of customer returns.
- Performs analysis review and qualification of new job samples ready to be submitted to customers.
- And any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of GD&T or the ability to learn.
- Ability to work without supervision; self-motivation and self-direction.
- Ability to work on a team and cooperate with others; positive attitude.
- Ability to lead and direct a team with proven results.
