Job Summary

Position Purpose:

Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects associated with the companys product from working closely with the product development team to conducting marketing research and overseeing product launches. Serves as a key contributor in enhancing the sales and distribution channels of SRS Building Products focusing on optimizing the accessibility and management of our expansive building materials portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate product development and marketing strategies creating and implementing product management plans assisting sales and marketing teams with product knowledge preparing product reports and analysis and maintaining the inventory level of products.

  • Product Management: Drive the lifecycle management of the product portfolio by ensuring timely updates and accuracy in product features specifications availability and pricing directly contributing to enhanced market competitiveness and revenue growth.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between sales teams and suppliers to efficiently address and resolve product-related inquiries issues and updates thereby ensuring streamlined communication and operational fluency.

  • Market Analysis: Execute comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to unearth industry trends and emerging customer needs identifying strategic opportunities for product expansion and innovation that support business objectives.

  • Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory levels proactively addressing discrepancies and aligning product availability with dynamic sales forecasts to optimize customer satisfaction.

  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver engaging training materials and sessions to sales teams equipping them with essential product knowledge and tools necessary to drive marketplace success and brand loyalty.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous documentation of product specifications and generate insightful sales data reports to inform and support strategic decision-making processes within the organization.

  • Innovation and Improvement: Champion continuous product improvement initiatives by integrating customer feedback and market insights enhancing product performance and elevating customer satisfaction dimensions.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within product management workflows to enhance efficiency reduce costs and bolster the overall impact on business outcomes.


Direct Manager Direct Reports:

  • This position reports directly to the Product Director or Manager.

  • Depending on the organizations size the product specialist may support or supervise a team of other product specialists or technicians.


Travel Requirements:

This position may require traveling to visit vendors attend trade shows or meet with clients which could account for up to 30% of the working time.


Physical Requirements:

Primarily an office-based role requiring extended periods of sitting standing and computer use. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Product Management Experience: Over three years of experience in product management or related roles with a strong grasp of marketing strategies and exceptional presentation and communication capabilities.

  • Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights.

  • Collaborative Communication: Proven excellence in interpersonal and communication skills with a history of successful cross-functional team collaboration.

  • Customer-Focused Strategy: Skilled in designing and executing strategies that prioritize customer needs and align with evolving market demands.

  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Known for an innovative mindset and the ability to develop and implement creative solutions that enhance product value and customer satisfaction.

  • Technical Proficiency: Adept in Microsoft Office Suite with hands-on experience using CRM platforms and inventory management systems.

  • Organizational Strength: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Minimum Education:

A bachelors degree in Business Management Marketing or a related field.


Preferred Education:

An MBA with a specialization in marketing or a related field enhancing the foundational requirements and equipping candidates with advanced skills pertinent to optimizing product coordination and strategic initiatives.


Minimum Years Of Work Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product coordination preferably within the building materials industry is required for this role.


Certifications:

Product Management certification can be beneficial but is not required.
