POSITION PURPOSE: The Clinical Supervisor provides direct clinical supervision mentorship and professional development support to Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) trainees interns and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counselors working toward licensure and/or certification. This position ensures ethical compliant and high-quality clinical services while fostering clinician development retention and connection to CADAs mission. The Clinical Supervisor supports documentation quality regulatory compliance and professional growth of supervisees while ensuring services meet standards required by Medi-Cal Santa Barbara County Behavioral Wellness the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and AOD certifying organizations.

EDUCATION:
- Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Psychology Social Work Counseling or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
LICENSES:
- Active California license as a: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- Must meet eligibility requirements to provide supervision under California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations.
- Completion of the BBS-required 6-hour Clinical Supervision training within 6 months of hire and for each license renewal cycle.
EXPERIENCE:
- Education training and/or professional experience in treating substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Experience supervising associates trainees interns or AOD counselors preferred.
- Experience working within community behavioral health nonprofit treatment settings prevention programs or Medi-Cal funded programs preferred.
OTHER:
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal behavioral health documentation standards and county contract requirements.
- Strong understanding of: Ethical standards and professional practice guidelines Clinical documentation standards Supervision best practices Trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
- Cultural competency and commitment to working with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as SmartCare or Credible preferred.
- Commitment to professional mentorship workforce development and community-based care.

This is a non-exempt full-time position that is eligible for medical/vision/dental benefits vacation sick and holiday pay. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.
Salary range: $42-$46 dependent on qualifications and experience
