Job Summary
Were looking for a Payments Data Analyst to join our Digital Risk team at Frasers Group. Reporting into the Payments Data Analytics Manager youll play a key role in supporting the analysis and reporting of eCommerce payments and fraud performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their data career who is passionate about analytics payments and eCommerce and keen to develop their skills in a fastpaced commercial environment.
What youll be doing
- Produce validate and maintain regular reporting and dashboards covering:
- Payment performance and costs
- Fraud and chargeback trends
- Operational metrics for the fraud and payments teams
- Analyse data to identify trends anomalies and performance issues
- Investigate unexpected movements in data and support root cause analysis
- Respond to adhoc data requests from Digital Risk Finance and eCommerce teams
- Support accurate monitoring of key payment and fraud metrics
- Work with structured datasets using Excel and SQLbased tools (e.g. BigQuery)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and on occasion external payment partners
Your insights will help:
- Improve payment acceptance rates
- Reduce costs and chargebacks
- Strengthen fraud prevention
- Deliver a smooth and reliable checkout experience for customers
By providing accurate timely and insightful analytics youll directly support both daytoday operations and longerterm commercial decision making.
Qualifications :
Essential
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills (e.g. lookups index/match pivot tables data manipulation)
- A foundational understanding of SQL and strong willingness to develop further
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Genuine interest in data eCommerce or payments
Desirable
- Experience working with SQL and structured datasets (e.g. BigQuery or similar)
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI Looker/Data Studio or Tableau
- Understanding of online payment journeys (authorisations declines checkout flows)
- Awareness of fraud chargebacks or loss prevention concepts
- Experience in retail eCommerce finance or other hightransaction environments
- Understanding of basic data governance and handling of personal data
