Job Summary
The Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an exciting inpatient neurology opportunity.
This part-time/per diem position involves inpatient general neurology work work mainly at Mount Sinai Queens. You will provide high quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness. Acute stroke and neurovascular diseases are not included in this role as these are separately managed by our world-class Stroke Team. You will frequently collaborate with our superb neurosurgical and neurological subspecialists (particularly in epilepsy and stroke). Opportunities include weekday and/or weekend coverage. Over time coverage needs may change or be flexible.
Our system-wide Mount Sinai neurohospitalist team is a rapidly growing and dynamic space where creativity collaboration and motivation are highly valued. We are constantly working to deliver the highest quality of careestablishing practice standards metrics and protocols for inpatient neurology care quality across the system collaborating with Neuro Critical Care Stroke Epilepsy and other services as appropriate and harnessing information technology to elevate the quality and safety of care.
Mount Sinais Department of Neurology is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care embracing the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrative approach to patient care research and education. Candidates must have excellent clinical skills and an interest in inpatient general neurology consultation.

Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Excellent communication bedside manner and organizational skills
- A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented system
- Ability to respectfully collaborate and build relationships with teammates
Compensation range from 210K to 350K(not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience specialties historical productivity historical collections and hospital/community need. As such an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range and in certain circumstances may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
