Psychologist- Live Oak Outpatient Program

Your Role:

• Identifies psychological emotional or behavioral issues and diagnoses disorders using information obtained from interviews tests records and reference materials.
• Utilizes knowledge of substance abuse dependence and addictive behaviors and their treatment to screen for psychoactive substance toxicity intoxication withdrawal symptoms co-existing mental health problems and danger to self or others.
• Determines clients readiness for treatment and change.
• Develops and implements individual treatment plans specifying therapy type frequency intensity and duration.
• Utilizes understanding of the range of treatment needed and knowledge of available treatment resources and their appropriate use in formulating (with clients) mutually agreed-upon treatment goals and measurable objectives.
• Completes psychological consultations.
• Provides individual and group therapy for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.

None

Required Education:

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in psychology

Required Experience:

• None required

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in general psychological testing.
• Experience working in an acute care medical setting with a general medical and psychiatric population.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as a psychologist in accordance with Florida Statutes Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations) Chapter 490 (Psychological Services)
