Function as the principal investigator co-principal investigator or project director of sponsored projects. Has primary authority over the conduct of a project including protocol development and adherence human subjects personnel management and budget oversight. - Designs implements coordinate and provide technical support to all aspects of a specific research program or project. For some research projects may need specific clinical or technical skills such as knowledge of basic molecular biology. Knowledge of software programs specific for the particular study such as for analysis of whole exome sequencing data.
- May plan administer or monitor the researchs budget or grants.
- May serve on hold office in or chair committees.
- May develop fund raising programs including researching and identifying funding sources and writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Serves as liaison to and works with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the research.
- May write and present scientific posters and speeches.
- May supervise staff.
- Maintains complete and accurate research records. May be responsible for maintaining research data and/or tissue banks.
- Conducts research and prepares reports ensuring mandatory operational and statistical reports are fact-based and comply with regulations. Must have knowledge of laboratory and research procedures.
What We Require:
Education: Terminal Degree (PhD or MD) required. B.S. in Biology or related science preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 year of experience required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have excellent organizational skills. For some studies excellent oral and written English communications skills are necessary.
