DUTIES
Develop andmaintaina professional relationshipwithcommunitysiteand withcolleagues and staff.
Provide assessments toclientsthat have been referred byinsurance providers.
Conductindividualcounselingwithclientswho meetmild to moderatemedical necessity/DSMV diagnostic criteria.
Makeappropriate referralsto community agency/eventsor higher levels of care.
Provide individualtherapy to assigned populations.
Attendanceatindividual and group supervision as assigned.
Complete necessary client case materials programformsand statistical data.
Completescreenings and provide aftercare follow-up proceduresin a timely manner.
Completeall necessary chartingreportsand statistical information necessary for assigned client populationin a timely manner.
Meet contractual obligation by billinga determined number ofreimbursable hours.
Provide andmaintaincurrent records of all necessarypaperwork forinsurance credentialing
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
CompletedMasters degreeinCounseling/Psychology or Social Work.
Has current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. (MFT MSW or PCC)
Possess strong organizational skills.
Be aself motivatedindividual;possessingthe ability toinitiateaction related to billing hours and documentation.
Ability to:
Develop andmaintainprofessional relationships with clients clientfamiliesand the professional community.
Organize and prioritize work to meet critical deadlines.
Balancemeeting contract hours withpaperwork requirements.
Assess and prioritize client issues anddetermineneeds.
Establish clear boundaries in a diplomatic manner with clients and school personnel.
Be open to feedback from clinical and administrative supervisors.
Knowledge of:
Theory principlestechniquesand trends in counseling and therapy.
Community resources.
DSM V Diagnostic Criteria.
Electronic Health Record SystemsSoftware;including Microsoft Office Suite.
Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis)screening.
Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing ifrequired.
Valid California drivers licenseand current proof of auto insurance coverage.
Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allowanypoints.
