4AI Systems is buildingmulti-sensor artificial intelligence perception and advisory systems for rail. Oursystem is designed to help improve rail vehicles performance through harnessingsensor technology to alert to operational conditions in front of the movingvehicle. Our system is deployed in Australia and is continuing togrow.

As a result of ongoing growth we have anopportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Manager andcontribute to the successfully delivery of projects.

This is apermanent full time position based in Perth WA. The role will initially be working from homewith weekly customer site visits and will transition to working in the officein the medium to longer term.

TheRole

The Project Engineer willsupport the design implementation testing and commissioning of assignedprojects in line with project plans and requirements.

The daily activities of thisrole include:

• Supporting project planning and delivery including scheduling budgeting forecasting and reporting
• Coordinating engineering activities across internal teams subcontractors consultants and suppliers
• Reviewing and managing technical documentation such as drawings specifications and design changes
• Ensuring works comply with relevant standards legislation and company procedures
• Supporting procurement and contract administration including purchase orders and delivery tracking
• Monitoring project progress identifying risks and issues and contributing to mitigation strategies
• Maintaining accurate project records and supporting project handover and closeout activities
• Responding promptly to customer requests while maintaining strong professional relationships
• Communicating with engineers and technical support staff regarding project requirements equipment performance onsite works and general hardware troubleshooting

AboutYou

Thesuccessful candidate will have:

• A Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a similar field or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting the design and implementation of technical solutions within a project delivery environment
• Welldeveloped problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to recommend effective solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients vendors and internal stakeholders
• Sound written communication skills including experience contributing to technical and project documentation
• The ability to work effectively both independently and under the direction of a Project Manager
• Comfort working in a customerfacing environment
• A willingness and ability to travel locally and occasionally interstate
• Current drivers licence
