Tactical Purchaser

Step into the role

As a Tactical Purchaser at MilDef you will contribute to securing competitive sourcing solutions strong supplier partnerships and long-term supply a rapidly growing defence industry shaped by increased rearmament and operational demands you will play a key role in driving sourcing activities negotiations and supplier performance that support both business growth and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sourcing projects within assigned categories in line with category strategies.

• Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on cost quality and reliability.

• Negotiate price agreements and optimize total cost of ownership.

• Conduct supplier performance reviews and provide data-driven insights.

• Analyze market trends benchmarking data and purchasing KPIs.

• Support product development and production projects with sourcing expertise and risk mitigation.

• Drive continuous improvements in purchasing practices digital tools compliance and sustainability initiatives.

What you bring

• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or sourcing including supplier negotiations risk analysis and strong business mindset

• Experience performing supplier evaluations benchmarking and data analysis in a manufacturing environment

• Strong skills in cost analysis total cost of ownership (TCO) and spend analysis

• Technical understanding and Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business or Engineering or equivalent professional experience

• Strong proficiency in Swedish and English both spoken and written.

• Preferably experience with procurement digitalization cost modeling Lean Six Sigma or category management principles.
