Mathematics Teaching Role in an Island School Setting

About the Role
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that cover number algebra geometry statistics and mathematical reasoning.
Students will be prepared for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations through structured teaching targeted intervention and regular assessment.
You will support learners across a broad range of abilities helping them develop confidence and resilience within a positive classroom environment.
You will work collaboratively within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and student progress.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons covering core mathematical concepts
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Support intervention and revision sessions where required
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 effectively
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Strong classroom management skills
Good organisational and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics
Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Ability to contribute to enrichment or intervention programmes
