About the Role: The client is moving beyond basic bookkeeping. As the group scales towards its third location and prepares for future debt and equity fundraising they need a strategic financial partner to bring their accounting in-house. This isnt just about cleaning up books; its about creating investor-ready financials. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between daily transactional accuracy and high-level strategic forecasting providing the leadership team with the visibility needed to secure capital and manage cash flow across multiple units.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage daily updates in QBO including categorization reconciliations and month-end closing for multiple locations.
Strategic Reporting: Create and maintain weekly performance reports and dashboards via Google Sheets to track unit-level profitability.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain 312 month rolling forecasts tracking budget vs. actual variances to guide expansion decisions.
Investor Relations: Prepare professional financial statements and pitch-ready data for banks and potential investors to support capital raises.
Operational Finance: Manage AP/AR handle sales tax filings and reconcile complex food delivery platform settlements (Uber Eats DoorDash) and catering invoices.
Process Automation: Utilize AI tools and modern tech stacks to enhance forecasting accuracy (e.g. integrating external data like weather patterns to predict sales).

Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills

Technical Accounting: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Suite.
Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in Restaurant/Hospitality accounting specifically dealing with COGS and delivery app reconciliations.
Financial Modeling: Proven ability to build complex forecasting models and investor-ready financial packages.
Tech Stack: Familiarity with AI tools for financial analysis and API-driven dashboards is a significant plus.

Soft Skills

Autonomous Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote environment and take full ownership of the finance department.
Strategic Mindset: Capable of reading between the lines of financial data to identify operational risks and opportunities.
