Job Title: Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment

Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading regional healthcare facility serving diverse communities. The facility functions as a referral center providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric services in a culturally rich environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong pediatric acute care experience excellent clinical judgment and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced and culturally sensitive healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care environment
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
- Administer medications IV therapies and treatments as prescribed
- Educate and support pediatric patients and their families
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EMR systems
- Follow established nursing standards hospital policies and infection control protocols
- Assist with emergency stabilization and response for pediatric patients when required
- Ensure safe compassionate and culturally competent patient care
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care coordination
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
- Active unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state or territory accepted
- Minimum of 3 years of Pediatric Acute Care nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Current AHA ACLS certification required
- Current AHA PALS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Strong pediatric assessment critical thinking and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Allscripts EMR preferred
