CDL Class A Truck/Lowboy Driver- IN

Position: CDL Class A Truck/Lowboy Driver Full Time

Department: Homer Tree Service Inc ANDERSON IN

Job Summary:The Class A Truck/Lowboy Driver is a highly motivated and experienced driver that is detail oriented has strong communication skills and is willing to work as a team. Must have experience with manual transmissions double axels and longer trailers as well as experience in off-road driving and rough terrains. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with Supervisors coworkers and customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely transports heavy machinery oversized loads and specialized equipment using a lowboy trailer
Obeys all local State Federal and IDOT regulations
Inspects truck and equipment before leaving and after arriving at locations
Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
Follow all Homer Tree Service Procedures and Safety Standards
Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Maintain a clean truck equipment or machinery
Assist in loading and unloading of materials
Transport materials from place of origin to assigned destination
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Effective Communication with supervisors and coworkers
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Crew Leader

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Illinois Class-A CDL with air brake endorsement.
Must have a minimum 2 years experience as a CDL driver
Clean driving record with no moving violations
Clean background check and drug test
Experience with manual transmissions double axles and longer trailers
Experience in off-road driving & rough terrains
OSHA familiarity/training
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Diligent attention to detail and safety
Excellent verbal communication and customer orientation

Benefits:

Pay Range: $25-$30/hr
Pay is determined by experience skill education and other factors
Able to enroll in benefits after 60-day new hire probation period
