Job Summary

Overview

USU Eastern is seeking a dependable and motivated PartTime Grounds Employee to assist with the upkeep and appearance of campus grounds. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe clean and welcoming environment for students staff and visitors. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors is physically capable and is willing to assist other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Mow lawns and maintain turf areas
  • Trim grass shrubs and landscaped areas
  • Edge sidewalks curbs and landscaped borders
  • Pull weeds and assist with general landscape maintenance
  • Empty and maintain outdoor trash and recycling receptacles
  • Assist with seasonal cleanup including leaf removal and debris cleanup
  • Operate basic groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist other campus departments with tasks or projects as needed
  • Help with Motor pool & Mail when needed
  • Follow safety procedures and campus policies at all times

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Previous groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred but not required
