Business Analyst

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analyse and document business requirements related to publication processes approval workflows and patent application systems
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) including user story writing backlog management acceptance criteria definition and DoD/DoR practices
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications user stories and acceptance criteria. Brief and translate to key development partners for build
• Facilitate workshops meetings and stakeholder discussions to align on requirements and priorities
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of solutions
• Support project management activities including planning tracking progress and managing risks and dependencies
• Design and execute test plans coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet business requirements
• Analyze and manage data related to publications and patent applications ensuring data integrity and usability
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions
• Maintain documentation including process flows system diagrams and requirement specifications

Required knowledge and skills

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst preferably in environments involving publications approvals or intellectual property/patent processes
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g. user stories process mapping requirement documentation)
• Solid technical acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams
• Experience with project management principles and tools (Agile/Scrum experience is a plus)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with workflow automation tools or document management systems
• Knowledge of data visualization or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) or Agile methodologies
