Part-time Building Attendant Best Friend Park Norcross

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays leave or benefits.

Job Description

ThePart-time Building Attendant position is located atBest Friend Park in Norcross Georgia. The role involves performing general janitorial landscaping duties and setting up/breaking down for events classes and programs. The ideal candidate will be required to have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to monitor activities inside and outside of the facility.

Essential Duties

• Opening and closing the facility locking/unlocking doors setting the security alarm and performing daily checks of all points of entry to ensure the safety of the building and public
• Maintaining facility and grounds by sweeping and mopping floors removing trash vacuuming and performing related custodial duties
• Setting up and arranging the gymnasium and activity room for classes rentals and special events
• Providing administrative support by maintaining maintenance records safety documents and basic reports
• Maintaining facility equipment
• Serving as rental attendant by providing excellent customer service while monitoring usage
• Completing data entry communicating via email completing basic weekly/monthly reports and ordering supplies
• Performingother duties of a similar nature or level as assigned

Public Speaking

• This position requires continuous interaction with the public and co-workers.

Other Job Requirements/Information

• This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position a public safety background is required which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories credit check and fingerprinting.
• This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays

Hourly Rate

• The hourly rate is $16.80.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
• Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications

• One year of janitorial/custodial landscaping building maintenance and/or customer service
• Knowledge of basic janitorial experience/duties
• Knowledge of landscaping experience/duties
• Knowledge and use of computer equipment and software
• CPR and First Aid & AED (within 6 months of employment)
