The Louisiana Department of Health is seeking a motivated Medicaid Analyst Supervisor to lead a team of Medicaid Analysts and ensure high-quality accurate service this role you will oversee workflow maintain compliance with state and federal policies support staff with complex cases monitor case quality provide in-service training and handle reviews investigations and fair-hearing inquiries. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to strengthening program integrity and improving outcomes for Louisiana families.

Minimum Qualifications

Six years of social services experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR

A bachelors degree plus three years of social services experience; OR

An advanced degree plus two years of social services experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Supervises and directs the daily activities of Medicaid Eligibility Analysts to ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations for Federal and State Medicaid programs.

Oversees staff work within the Louisiana Medicaid Eligibility Determination System (LaMEDS) including complex eligibility reviews benefit determinations and authorization approvals.

Interprets and applies complex federal state and agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Medicaid eligibility requirements and program standards.

Provides ongoing coaching remedial instruction and policy training to staff to support performance accuracy and professional development.

Recruits interviews selects and develops employees while ensuring all personnel actions comply with Civil Service Rules and applicable laws and regulations.

Reviews and validates system-generated eligibility decisions correspondence and decision letters to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy.

Establishes work schedules priorities and operational plans for subordinate staff and managers while monitoring productivity attendance and appropriate use of state resources.

Compensation: This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER) as well as a Premium Pay of up to $2.00/hr for hours worked based on longevity.

Medicaid Analyst Supervisor - $24.35 hr / $1948.00 bi-weekly
