JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Business Analyst independently leads requirements gathering analysis and solution design to ensure business needs are met with effective scalable solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders facilitates workshops mentors junior analysts and contributes to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders ensuring clear and complete documentation.
• Analyze and document business processes workflows and system requirements.
• Facilitate workshops interviews and focus groups to capture business needs and align expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
• Apply proficiency with BI tools and data analysis methods to evaluate business performance and recommend improvements.
• Support testing by reviewing test cases validating requirements and assisting with defect resolution.
• Mentor junior analysts providing guidance feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the improvement of business analysis methods templates and best practices.

SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERISTICS/SKILLS

Experience & Background

• Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in business analysis project delivery or related roles.
• Requires experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) to analyze and present data insights.
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools and query languages (e.g. SQL).
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with secure SDLC (SSDLC) practices.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to balance competing priorities and reach consensus.

• Strong communication and facilitation skills with both business and technical audiences.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support less experienced colleagues.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in business administration information systems computer science or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. IIBA CCBA Agile BA) preferred.
