About the Role
Trades Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant for an ongoing casual opportunity based in Sunshine West.
This position is with a well-established engineering and machining company servicing the mining quarry and civil industries.
The workshop specialises in heavy industrial components and equipment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys workshop work takes pride in doing things properly and isnt afraid of physical work.
Duties Include
- General labouring and workshop support
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas
- Assisting tradespeople with mechanical assembly work
- Using hand and power tools
- Moving materials and components safely
- Following workshop procedures and safety standards
- Supporting day-to-day workshop operations
To Be Successful You Will Need
- Previous experience in a workshop manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Reliable attendance and solid work ethic
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential
