For information on Skydances privacy practices see theSkydance EU/UK PersonnelPrivacy Notice located at aCompositing SeniorArtistyou willwork as part of theCompositing team inconjunctionwith the Lighting artists to provide compositing support and solutions to the challenges associated with delivering sequences in an animated movie.You will work on developing looks and tools to meet the needs of the ArtDirectors and Compositing workflow.You will be expected to collaborate with the widerCompositing team to offer support andguidance to fellow artists andtheProductionteam.

Responsibilities

Keeps up on current artistic methodologiesand techniquesthat best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative environment.

Works under the artistic supervision of the Lighting Sequence Leadin charge of sequence.

Supports the Compositing Supervisor and Compositing Leads to create tools and looks to accomplishthe artistic goals of themovie.

Takeschargeof the more complex compositing shots of the sequencewhenneeded.

Contributes to the creation and maintenance of compositing templatesfor the sequence ensuringitscleandocumentedand easy tounderstand andassistslighting artistsinits correct use.

Worksclosely with thebackenddepartments to definethe strategiesand workflowsregardingtherenderlayer structure for the sequence.

Workswith the Lighting Sequence Lead and the CompositingLeadto develop gizmos effects specificlooksor applications for the sequence if needed.

Keepsuptodate withcurrent artistic methodologies andwithtechnology trends and tools that best suit the production.

Provides support for Quality Control of the final images ensuring all material complies withthe necessary endgoals.

Workscloselywith theLighting SequenceLeadundertheir artistic supervisionto support themwith anycompositing tasks.

Worksclosely with the Lighting Leads and artists todeterminethebest approaches to solveshotchallenges and develop final templates.

Workstogether with the teamproviding them with supportguidanceand instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.

Follows theCompositingSupervisor and Leads guidance.

Isproactiveadaptableand calm under pressure.

Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets.

Requirements

5 years in VFX or animation industries.

1 years in the animation industry

4years of professional experience in digital compositing.

Advanced technical knowledge of Nuke.

Python scripting is desirable.

Previousexperience setting up compositing workflows for production.

Deep understanding of lighting rendering passes andAOVs.

Self-motivated and comfortable working with deadlines.

Strong artistic eye and understanding ofcolourlightingand image analysis.

Previousexperience with Deep Compositingworkflows.

Houdini/ Solarisknowledgeis desirable.

High English level desirable.

Spanish desirable.
