Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Java Software Engineer to spearhead the design development and implementation of robust and scalable enterprise-level applications. This role involves technical leadership mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead the architecture design and development of complex Java-based applications ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Collaborate with product owners business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Perform code reviews ensuring code quality performance and maintainability.
* Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment and post-production support.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for development processes tools and technologies.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
* Contribute to the strategic technical roadmap and technology selection process.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends evaluating their potential application within SS&C Fintech Svc India.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
* 10 years of progressive experience in Java software development with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level applications.
* Proven experience in a technical leadership role guiding and mentoring development teams.
* Expertise in Java 8 and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot Spring MVC Hibernate).
* Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles data structures and algorithms.
* Extensive experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
* Proficiency with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Git and agile development methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
* Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is highly desirable.
