Job Summary
Education:
- Bachelor Degree or diploma in Chemistry Chemical Engineering preferred or relevant industry experience.

Quality Systems Manager (Full Time) - St-Hubert QC
This position is responsible for the implementation of broad policies and procedures to meet and exceed Linde Canadas business needs in quality and government compliance and other quality assurance programs.
Requires the ability to work independently and to provide consultative advice within specific functional area to assigned client base (all Quebec plants and the Quebec region). Responsible to perform a variety of quality assurance audits and training duties in their assigned area to ensure compliance with Linde and regulatory body standards. Reduce costs through Operational Excellence strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a leadership role in safety. Encourage safety teamwork and an ongoing high level of safety awareness. Create an environment which encourages Operational Discipline.
- Promote a clean safe work environment and an atmosphere of teamwork and open communication to motivate build morale and develop a positive attitude among employees.
- Lead role in internal / regulatory agency audits for the Quebec facilities.
- Provide HPFBI regulatory compliance and quality system support to assigned Linde Distribution locations in Quebec.
- Maintain all safety and operational standards update as necessary when changes to processes or procedures occur.
- Ensure integrity of all safety compliance systems including but not limited to: CEPA LERP PPE Survey LWI Hazardous Waste removal WHMIS Sound Survey updates.
- Co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committees providing guidance and continuity to the committees charter. Schedule and maintain minutes from meetings and update actions. Follow up continuously to ensure timely closure of all items brought forward.
- Review all Hazardous Work Permits issued on site to ensure all rules are being followed and provide coaching/guidance to the approved issuers when items are missed.
- Co-ordinate and/or facilitate as needed any technical bulletins that impact Quebecs operational procedures.
- Facilitate and maintain records for the Quality Team Meetings.
- Participate in all MOC reviews pertaining to changes to systems and processes at the Quebecs facilities.
- Work with the S&ES Regional Manager to maintain and improve system to promote compliance quality and safety.
- In conjunction with the Facility Managers ensure all permits and licenses are current.
- Facilitate New Employee orientation sessions and other mandatory training for new hires.
Establish and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of statistical data pertaining quality and compliance systems as assigned.
This position does not have direct budgetary management; however awareness of fiscal requirements and ability to share ideas on ways to increase and maintain fiscal integrity is required.
The Regional Quality and Compliance Manager shall have:
- Ability to listen and get clarification when needed;
- Respond well to questions.
- Write clearly and informatively.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers regulatory agencies or others.
- Ability to provide training on various topics to staff as needed.
