Make a real impact on public health as a Lead Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS 1-3) with the Regional STD/HIV this critical role youll lead efforts to stop the spread of sexually transmitted infections by conducting partner services ensuring timely testing and treatment and strengthening follow-up care for affected individuals. Youll collaborate with healthcare providers across the region to ensure accurate reporting and rapid response while guiding and supporting DIS staff to improve outcomes and prevent future casesincluding eliminating infectious syphilis and congenital conditions. Three years of experience in disease investigation and prevention activities; OR
Three years of experience in investigatory work social services nursing or as a medical laboratory technician or assistant; OR

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
This position requires routine statewide duties including fieldwork inspections investigations or direct services that extend beyond the employees domicile parish. These statewide responsibilities are an inherent and ongoing part of the job and may require frequent travel.- Conducts case management assessments to ascertain further potential for the spread of disease
- Ensures that the mothers profile is complete with updated information
- Ensures that lab results are included in the Lab Summary
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all supervisors senior-level management staff co-workers and clinic personnel and during interactions with other individuals while working as an employee with the Regional STD/HIV Program.
- Attend seminars workshops in-service trainings required meetings and perform other related duties and program assistance as required.
