- Salary between $103799 to 118441 pro-rata (based on skills and experience) PLUS Super!Ongoing In-house training and professional development opportunities!

Hume Riverina Community Legal Service (HRCLS) is a service of Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC) a proudly independent community-managed organisation dedicated to strengtheningfamilies and individuals across North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina of NSW and an organisation committed to social justice inclusion and trauma-informed care.
HRCLS is a generalist place-based cross-border community legal centre providing free legalassistance in civil and family law to those who are most in need: people experiencing barriers to accessing justice who have intersecting legal and non-legal problems. We do this through partnerships with community education health and specialist family violence services.
About the Role
HRCLS is looking for multiple Lawyers to join the Family Law and Family Violence Practice. This role will not only support those who are most in need within our community but will also have the opportunity to contribute to our social learning program law reform and advocacy.
As a Family Violence Family Law Lawyer you will:
- Deliver legal information advice casework duty lawyer services and court representation in a trauma-informed manner
- Foster and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations and sector stakeholders
- Contribute to community legal education secondary consultations and professional development activities
- Support law reform and advocacy initiatives
- Provide supervision and support to lawyers paralegals students and volunteers as required
Is This You
To be eligible you will need to hold (or be eligible to hold) an unrestricted practising certificate inAustralia.
Additionally the following will be highly valued:
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Legal practice experience (or capacity to work) in family law and family violence matters
- Court representation experience in the Magistrates Court of Victoria and/or the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
