GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for providing all operational management and oversight for the Veterans Home of Wyoming (VHW) which includes planning organizing directing administering and coordinating staff work activities through subordinate program managers. The position develops policies and procedures for budgeting purchasing and inventory control personnel management care quality and information systems and records addition the position evaluates the accomplishments of subordinates and the timeline for task completion. The VHW campus contains a 77-bed assisted living facility/domiciliary and a new 36-bed skilled nursing facility both of which serve the veterans of our state to ensure excellence in care and a high quality of life.We are proud to have recently opened a brand new skilled nursing facility on the VHW campus which provides state-of-the-art nursing care to Wyomings veterans in a Green House-like model. The successful incumbent will oversee both the skilled nursing facility and the domiciliary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.- General oversight of the domiciliary and skilled nursing facility.
- Ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws rules and regulations pertaining to assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities.
- Personnel management including efforts around recruiting and retaining a quality workforce.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in long-term care primarily in leadership roles. Successful candidates will also be required to meet state and federal licensure requirements for oversight of the VHW including educational requirements.
KNOWLEDGE:- Extensive knowledge of clinical and administrative best practices in long-term care.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal law rules and regulations pertaining to long-term care facilities.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in staff development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelors Degree (typically in Business Management)Experience:3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Manager IOREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:6-8 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Manager ICertificates Licenses Registrations:NoneNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- The employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however there may be some walking standing bending carrying light items driving an automobile etc.
