Job Summary
Abilene Middle School is seeking an Assistant 8th Grade Volleyball Coach for the upcoming 202627 school year. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in building a competitive and positive volleyball program that reflects our athletic and activity core values of commitment effort and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone passionate about developing middle school student-athletes teaching fundamentals and creating a strong team culture.
Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support the head coach in planning and leading practices matches and offseason skill development.
- Help develop players volleyball fundamentals teamwork communication and game understanding.
- Model and reinforce our core values of commitment effort and teamwork.
- Build positive relationships with student-athletes while encouraging academic success and personal growth.
- Assist with communication to players families and school staff.
- Help manage equipment uniforms and match-day responsibilities.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to support player development within the middle school and high school volleyball program.
- Uphold all school district and KSHSAA policies and expectations.
