Phlebotomist

This role is a critical part of the quantitative drug testing analysis performed by Dominion Diagnostics. You will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients entering patient information into the electronic requisition form and packaging and shipping all specimens to the laboratory. this is a part-time float position and will require some driving around the Phoenix area. Mileage will be compensated.

Hours and locations will fluctuate: Monday- Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitate the collection processing and shipping of blood & urine specimens;

Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens;

Observe & collect urine specimens from patients;

Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained;

Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment;

Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients physicians and clinic staff;

Communicate with understand and react effectively to a diverse patient population base;

Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens;

Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines;

Maintain neat clean orderly patient/work areas at all times;

Order processing & office supplies as needed.

A minimum of 1 year of Phlebotomy experience

Strong customer service skills

Reliable with a strong work ethic

.Reliable transportation to float to ciinics

Strong computer skills must be able to work in multiple programs and windows manage email & reports

Fast and accurate data entry

Communicate clearly and concisely with accuracy credibility and confidence

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
