Vertical Recruitment is partnering with a highly respected design-led Fire Engineering consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the UK and internationally. Due to sustained growth and a strong project pipeline they are seeking a Chartered Associate Fire Engineer to play a key leadership role within the business.
This is a senior appointment offering genuine influence autonomy and a clear pathway toward Director-level progression for the right individual.
The Opportunity
You will join a consultancy known for delivering technically complex performance-based fire engineering solutions across high-profile developments spanning commercial residential mixed-use infrastructure and international schemes.
This role sits at Associate level and requires an established technical leader capable of managing projects developing client relationships and mentoring engineers.
About You
Chartered Engineer (CEng) ideally MIFireE (IFE) though chartership via another recognised professional body is also considered.
Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
5 years experience within a Fire Engineering consultancy environment (typically considerably more at Associate level).
Strong expertise in fire strategy development engineering analysis and performance-based design.
Thorough understanding of UK codes standards and regulatory approval processes.
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing teams and overseeing project delivery.
Commercial awareness including scope definition fee negotiation and change management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of complex fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Produce and oversee high-quality technical reports and fire strategies.
Engage with clients design teams and approving authorities.
Manage resources programmes and commercial aspects of projects.
Contribute strategically to business growth and team development.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
