Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing

Position Description:

The College of Nursing and Health Professions (CONHP) at Valparaiso University invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing. This is a semester-by-semester appointment teaching one to two courses per semester. This position is an adjunct appointment beginning August 2026. The responsibilities of this position include teaching an undergraduate medical-surgical nursing course in the BSN program. The successful candidate will hold an earned masters or doctoral degree in nursing.

Major Responsibilities:

• Teaching in the BSN program.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Masters degree in nursing.
• Two to three years of teaching experience.

Other Qualifications:

• In-classroom teaching

The College of Nursing and Health Professions has programs in nursing (BSN and DNP) health care leadership (BSHL) health administration (MHCA) health science (BSHS) public health (BSPH and MPH) physician assistant studies (MSPA) and occupational therapy (DrOT OTD).
