Schedule

• Full-Time
• Night Shift
• Rotating Weekends
• On-Call Required
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility due to emergency on-call response requirements

Compensation

• $39.57/hr $53.34/hr (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case consideration

Position Overview

The Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse provides high-acuity perioperative nursing care for trauma and emergency surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment care planning intervention and coordination throughout the surgical process while supporting multidisciplinary surgical teams during trauma and emergent procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for trauma and surgical patients in the Operating Room
• Perform comprehensive patient assessment care planning implementation and evaluation
• Collaborate closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain strict sterile technique and adherence to patient safety standards during procedures
• Monitor patient status throughout surgical interventions and recovery transitions
• Ensure accurate timely clinical documentation and compliance with institutional protocols
• Respond effectively to trauma activations and emergency surgical situations

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current BLS certification (or required within 30 days of hire)
• Current ACLS certification (or required within 30 days of hire)
• Minimum of 2 years of Trauma Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Proven experience in high-acuity trauma OR environment required
• Ability to meet on-call response requirement (30-minute proximity to facility)
