Outpatient Pharmacist Travel Assignment
Location: Tuba City AZ 86045
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
Shift Times: Variable start times (8:00 AM / 9:00 AM / 10:00 AM / 12:00 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment at a regional healthcare facility in Tuba City AZ. This role supports both main campus operations and affiliated satellite clinics delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care across a diverse patient population including neonatal pediatric adolescent adult geriatric oncology and obstetric patients.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise excellent communication skills and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced mission-driven healthcare environment serving culturally diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient pharmacy services including medication management
- Review verify and accurately dispense prescriptions in compliance with safety standards
- Monitor medication therapy and evaluate patient outcomes
- Provide patient counseling on medication use side effects and adherence
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
- Participate in clinical pharmacy programs and medication therapy management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards hospital policies and patient safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems (Allscripts preferred)
- Support pharmacy operations across main and satellite clinic locations
- Contribute to quality improvement and pharmacy service development initiatives
- Provide pharmaceutical care across all age groups and specialty populations
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed
- Participate in rotating shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
- Active unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist
- At least 1 year of clinical pharmacy experience required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and medication management expertise
- Prior experience in outpatient or hospital pharmacy preferred
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with Allscripts EMR preferred
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Background clearance (fingerprinting) required prior to start
