Job Title: Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer
Position Overview:
Under the Direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager leads full-cycle recruitment while advancing a comprehensive workforce development strategy that supports Boston MedFlights mission operational excellence and long-term sustainability. This role partners closely with leadership to attract develop engage and retain a high-performing workforce across clinical aviation and non-clinical teams. The position blends strategic recruitment expertise with workforce planning onboarding performance management engagement and retention initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
A. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
Lead full-cycle recruitment for clinical aviation and non-clinical roles across the organization.
Partner with department leaders to understand hiring needs role requirements operational demands and workforce plans.
Develop and maintain pipelines of active and passive candidates using applicant tracking systems (ADP) job boards social media referrals and professional networks.
Draft update and publish job descriptions and postings that reflect organizational needs regulatory requirements and union agreements where applicable.
Conduct candidate screening interviews reference checks and coordination of selection processes.
Track recruitment metrics analyze trends and prepare reports for leadership to support decision-making.
Conduct salary market analyses and provide recommendations to the CHRO to support compensation planning.
Create and maintain recruitment marketing materials and employment branding initiatives.
Represent Boston MedFlight at job fairs conferences and industry networking events as needed.
B. Workforce Planning & Development
Partner with the CHRO and leadership to align hiring strategies with long-term workforce planning and organizational goals.
Support workforce development initiatives that build internal talent pipelines and leadership capability.
Analyze workforce data to identify trends gaps and opportunities related to staffing retention and development.
Collaborate with leaders to support succession planning and career pathway development.
C. Onboarding & Integration
Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires experience a smooth transition into the organization.
Ensure onboarding reinforces Boston MedFlights mission values culture compliance and safety requirements.
Partner with managers to support effective integration of new employees into operational teams.
D. Performance Management
Manage performance evaluation process with support from HR Associate.
In coordination with CHRO develop electronic performance evaluation platform and train managers in utilization to replace current system.
Manage ongoing performance review cycles goal-setting processes and related timelines.
Train and support managers to deliver fair consistent and compliant performance evaluations.
Collaborate with HR leadership on performance improvement strategies and talent development planning.
Coordinate leadership trainings and mandatory (non-clinical) trainings for staff for professional development.
E. Engagement & Retention
Support employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving retention morale and organizational effectiveness.
Analyze engagement and retention data to recommend and implement improvement strategies.
Support initiatives that strengthen leadership effectiveness employee connection to mission and workplace culture.
F. Supervisory oversight
Shared Supervision of the HR Associate with the HR Operations Manager to facilitate the
onboarding and performance evaluation process.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Organizational Development Business or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment; broader HR or workforce development experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in sourcing strategies candidate assessment interviewing and recruitment technology.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ADP preferred) job boards and recruitment marketing tools.
Familiarity with healthcare or mission-driven nonprofit environments is a plus.
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
High degree of professionalism discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency with social media platforms for recruitment and employer branding.
Fluency in English (read write speak comprehend).
Notes:
This is a Full-time exempt position.
Predictable weekday availability required; hybrid schedule (on-site and remote).
Ability to travel locally as needed; may require occasional travel for conference recruiting
Must successfully pass FBI and/or CORI background checks.
