• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and developmental of growth and development as well as the physical emotions and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.

• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of health care including sanitation personal hygiene and safety.
• Ability to prepare and maintain records charts and reports and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in caring for physically and emotionally ill people.

*As a condition for continued employment: Must successfully pass all required parts of CPIs Non-violent Crisis Intervention.

This Position Is Designated as Mandatory and Must Report or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Shift Premiums for 8-Hour Shifts:

• Day: Saturday and Sunday 5%
• Evening: Monday-Friday 10% Saturday and Sunday 15%
• Night: Friday-Sunday 15% Monday-Thursday 10%

*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus:

Toqualify for the Sign-on Bonus a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.

An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

• The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government including the judicial system or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
• The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
• DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
