About the role
We are seeking a qualified Locksmith to help maintain the security and integrity of Endeavour Energys assets and this hands-on role youll be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing a wide range of locking systems door hardware and associated security devices across our network.
Working both independently and collaboratively youll support operational teams and stakeholders by resolving access and security-related issues maintaining accurate records and contributing to the ongoing improvement of security systems and processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Install maintain repair and replace locks lock cylinders master key systems door hardware and electromechanical security systems across Endeavour Energy sites ensuring all assets remain secure and operational while accurately recording updates to systems and records.
- Provide locksmithing expertise and practical support to internal stakeholders by resolving access issues processing authorised key requests maintaining electronic key records and providing advice relating to security equipment locking systems building codes and security standards.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors external agencies and other parties including police at substation and operational sites in relation to locking access and security-related activities to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
- Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance activities inspect locking mechanisms and doors for security and functionality manage inventory of locks keys and associated hardware and contribute to the ongoing reliability and effectiveness of security assets.
- Liaise with internal teams utilities and external organisations to support operational requirements respond to incidents and ensure security risks access issues and system updates are managed efficiently and professionally.
Challenges
This role requires maintaining a strong security-focused approach while managing critical security assets responding to incidents and adapting to changing operational priorities. Success in the role also relies on effective communication with internal stakeholders and flexibility to respond to evolving business and security needs.
About you
You are a proactive and detail-oriented tradesperson with strong locksmithing knowledge including locks keying systems door hardware and electromechanical security systems. You can work independently prioritise tasks effectively and communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders while delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certificate III Mechanical Engineering (Locksmithing)
- Security Licence 2B
Licenses/tickets
- C Vehicle Licence up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM)
- White Card General Construction Induction Card
- STAR 10 Duty of Care training
