The important parts:
- Pay:APS6 equivalent (approx. $67.24 $76.36 per hour Super) Duration:Until January 2027 with strong potential for extension
- Hours:MondayFriday37.5 hours per week
What you will be required to do:
Deliver lifechanging traumainformed mental health support to Australias veterans and their families within a supportive multidisciplinary environmentincluding metropolitan and regional South Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing evidencebased individual couple and family counselling
- Conducting intake assessment formulation and clinically appropriate risk assessments
- Managing cases and maintaining accurate confidential clinical records using the Client Management System
- Participating in regional intake triage and allocation processes to ensure clients are matched to appropriate services
- Working across multiple service locations including satellite sites and regional outreach as required
- Liaising with families external treatment providers and internal stakeholders (with consent) to coordinate care
- Attending case reviews clinical supervision and CPD to maintain professional registration
- Contributing to group programs service improvement initiatives community engagement and service promotion activities
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold full registration as a Psychologist Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with AHPRA OR
- Be a Social Worker with AASW membership OR
- Hold a Masterslevel Counselling qualification with PACFA (Registered Clinical Counsellor) or ACA Level 34
- Demonstrate experience delivering traumainformed clientcentred mental health careespecially with complex and vulnerable populations.
- Strong clinical judgement with proven ability to conduct risk assessments and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children or Vulnerable People Check
