Job Summary

Position Overview
The Underwater Transport SystemMaintenance Manager supports the sustainment maintenance certification and lifecycle management of underwater vehiclesand transition supportsystemsin Pearl City Hawaii. This role supports design reviews research and development construction and fabrication efforts temporary modifications maintenance support technical work documentation certification activities and lifecycle upgrades to help ensure system readiness reliability and compliance with technical requirements. The position also serves as a principal technical resource for configuration management and project coordination associated with program sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management sustainment maintenance and lifecycle activities for assigned systems and equipment
- Assist with configuration management project coordination and technical support activities
- Support design reviews research development construction fabrication modifications and upgrades
- Assist with maintenance planning technical work documents formal procedures and controlled work packages
- Help ensure work meets applicable specifications standards operational requirements and certification requirements
- Perform and support testing inspections system checks and certification-related activities
- Assist with layout design and modification of new or existing systems
- Support development of material procurement specifications for standard and specialized items
- Assist with preparing and maintaining technical manuals training materials drawings and related documentation
- Review test data and assist with preparing reports summaries and conclusions
- Coordinate with applicable personnel to support operational readiness and compliance
- Operate assigned vehicles and equipment as required to support job duties
Minimum Requirements.
Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications listed for this position to be considered. These requirements are established by the Government and are mandatory for contract performance. Candidates who do not meet every minimum requirement will not be eligible for consideration for this position
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Navy submarines or submersible platforms.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with submarine mechanical and electrical systems or components.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with supply chain or inventory management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with Naval quality assurance programs.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with NAVSEA 9290 requirements.
- Must be able to embark support watercraft and experimental vessels in restricted waters.
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience or BA/BS plus 4 years of related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Prior military experience preferred.
