Job Summary

The SCSEP Program Assistant will provide administrative support assist with participant enrollment and orientation track participant progress and ensure the overall smooth operation of the SCSEP program. This role is also responsible for administrative support for MCOA and effective management of the office. This role will provide support and guidance to older adults in association with MCOA. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Assist with the recruitment intake and eligibility verification process for SCSEP participants 

  • Schedule and confirm appointments for program participants and supervisors.  

  • Prepare event materials for in-services orientation and recertifications. 

  • Answer telephones and give information to callers take messages or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. 

  • Greet visitors and handle their inquiries and direct them to the appropriate people according to their needs. 

  • Manage and update paper and electronic records of program activities  

  • Advocate for the needs of older adults and raise awareness of available resources in MCOA.  

  • Perform additional duties as assigned for MCOA.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and excellent problem-solving skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Teams etc.) 


Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or higher in human services public administration or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education 

  • 2-3 years or more of experience in workforce development social services and working with older adults 

  • Experience in program administration or office management is preferred

Hourly Rate: $21.63 - $23.08/hour
