Job Title: Senior Fire Engineer

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join a growing and well-established fire engineering consultancy in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire professional to take ownership of projects support junior engineers and work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile schemes across the UK.
You will play a key role in delivering compliant innovative and performance-led fire engineering solutions across multiple sectors including residential commercial healthcare and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of Fire Strategy Reports.
- Undertake and review PAS 9980 FRAEW assessments.
- Deliver performance-based fire engineering design solutions.
- Provide technical input across RIBA Stages 16.
- Liaise with architects design teams contractors and approving authorities.
- Support Building Regulations compliance including Approved Document B.
- Mentor and support Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
- Attend client meetings and represent the business in a professional capacity.
Experience & Skills Required
- Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering fire strategies within a consultancy environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Approved Document B BS 9991 BS 9999 and relevant fire safety legislation.
- Experience with façade assessments and PAS 9980 desirable.
- Familiarity with the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Order.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Working towards or already achieved Chartership (IFE/CEng) desirable.
