Your role and responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist. The role of a Veterinary Receptionist is extremely important as we are integral to creating the first impression of our practice. Clients and visitors should be welcomed in a warm friendly courteous and professional manner.

You will be part of the amazing Folly Gardens Veterinary Clinic Walton Cardiff team consisting of Veterinary Surgeons Nurses Patient Care Assistants and Veterinary Receptionists. All based within the clinic and supported by colleagues based within the other clinics. There will be flexibility to work at the three sites.

The ideal candidate will have previous veterinary receptionist experience with BVRA qualifications. We would consider a job share role for the right candidate.

Your duties will include:

  • Welcoming clients both into the clinic and via telephone calls
  • Responding to and managing group email inbox
  • Answering client enquiries
  • Supporting with stock management
  • Assisting Vets with repeat prescription requests
  • Cleaning
  • Organisation duties including filing
  • Cashing up

Hours and package

  • From 26707.20 (Full time)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Working hours between 8.00am 7.30pm (Monday Friday)
  • Saturday working on a rota basis (no more than 1 in 3)
